Brothers and Sisters: As the United States is faced with the concern of the new Coronavirus known as COVID-19, I feel it is important to speak to this topic with all our UAW membership. I want to be very clear that we do not take this matter lightly. Election 2020: We must protect health care

Id like to begin this blog with a couple of comments about an issue that I feel very passionate about. In my more than 40 years with the UAW, I have had the benefit of very good health care coverage. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for so many Americans across this nation.

Senator Brown Stands With Oberlin Workers

On Thursday, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown released a letter calling on Oberlin College to do the right thing and maintain 108 UAW member jobs. The college has announced plans to outsource the dining and custodial jobs in a cost-saving measure. In February, over 800 members of the Oberlin community protested the plan and called on college administrators to make quality, good-paying jobs a priority.
